We are happy to announce the foundation of OTC Belgium. This is a Belgian chapter of the Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation (OTC Foundation). OTC is an interactive global network of surgeons and scientists, dedicated to the advancement of osteosynthesis and trauma care.

Mission

The Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation (OTCF) is an interactive global network of surgeons and scientists, dedicated to the education of osteosynthesis and trauma care. Our goal is to attract both young and experienced professionals who are practicing medicine in the fields of trauma care, fragility fractures and osteoporosis.
OTC Belgium aims to organize theoretical courses, workshops, cadaveric course for all levels of expertise in Trauma care. More information about the courses check the desciptions under the different course levels.

OTC III Intermediate specimen hip course 17 June 2024 @ university Antwerp

OTC IV Advances specimen pelvic course 17 May 2024 @ university Antwerp

We designed a comprehensive educational program to enhance your understanding and proficiency in pelvic anatomy and fracture treatment. This course is meticulously crafted for last year residents, fellows and young surgeons to facilitating an in-depth comprehension of anatomical relationships, clinical significance, and procedural considerations.
Throughout this course, participants will engage in a rigorous curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical sessions, guided by seasoned experts in the field. The primary objective is to equip participants with the necessary skills and confidence to navigate pelvic anatomy proficiently, ensuring a heightened level of competence in their respective medical practices.

OTC I starter course: Closed fracture treatment & casting techniques

Save the date for our OTC I course about Closed fracture treatment & casting techniques on Saturday 7th of October 2023 at UCL Brussels.
In this Starter course, we will mainly focus on acute and closed fracture treatment, including practical tips and tricks on diagnosis and closed reduction maneuvers. An important aspect of closed fracture management is the application of casts. Therefore, extensive theoretical and hands-on practical sessions regarding plastering will be provided. The course is open to all trainees involved in the initial management of trauma.
